With over three decades in fine jewelry, spanning diamond buying, product development, global sourcing, and leadership across major luxury houses, our CEO, Abhi Kothari, brings deep expertise across every aspect of the industry, along with a discerning eye for exceptional jewelry manufacturing.
His longstanding relationships, from factory floors to retail boardrooms, give The Carat Connective access and insight well beyond production. Abhi understands the full journey of a product, from sourcing and development through manufacturing, positioning, and bringing it successfully to market.
SHWETA BAFANA
With over 15 years across fashion, retail, and fine jewelry, co-founder Shweta Bafana brings deep experience in merchandising, assortment strategy, and business operations. Her background across buying, planning, eCommerce, and fine jewelry gives her a strong understanding of how product decisions connect to customer needs and business performance.
Shweta brings a merchant’s perspective and an operator’s discipline to every project, applying her experience to shape product decisions, align with client objectives, and drive development from concept through delivery.
